LED Signs approved – November 6

A meeting called on Sunday the November 6th approved funds to fully construct the signs. 70% of the funds have already been raised to build the signs.
The selection of design and maker is not final, but the two signs are about $7,000 each. By Little Rock City ordinance a church sign can include graphics like the video linked here, but NOT with driver distracting animations or movement. Messages would change every 30 seconds.
Worship and Praise

We have women in our congregation who regualrly participate in the Praise team: Ruth Anderson, Barbara Bambrick, Jessica Jenks and Bonnie Wells.
The last few Sundays the women have been carrying the praise like four sisters, four vocal sisters in Christ.

Lead Me Back to Bethlehem
Christmas Cantata Service was a Joy
The composer and lyricist of our cantata, Pepper Chopin, hoped that “the Spirit leads you back to experience the miracle of the Child’s birth, the joy of the shepherds, the mystery of the star and the men who followed it.”
The choir certainly enjoyed performing it. All the choral works can be found inside here.

I’ve been there many times before,
But this time how I yearn
To feel the joy, and peace and love,
O help me to return.
Pepper Choplin always “looks for ways to connect with the listener. I ‘ve used familiar tunes that aren’t usually connected with Christmas to help tell the story. In this work you will find folk tunes of Down to the River to Pray, Scarborough Fair and Aura Lee...Hopefully these tunes [written with Christmas lyrics] will draw the listener into the events and different moods of the story.”
